Pharmacy Manager – Humboldt

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Manager/Store Operator to join Pharmasave in St. Humboldt, Saskatchewan at Pharmasave Humboldt.

A traditional style retail pharmacy with a shoppable front store that has everything you need. This store is one of the main anchors of Mainstreet and has longstanding dedicated staff that have worked there for decades. This is a clinical focused location that sees the 3 pharmacists and certified technician all practicing to full scope in a recently renovated dispensary with lots of room and a great workflow. This store has a large long-term care (LTC) practice and there are a lot of opportunities to do meds reviews both in the store and in the long term care homes. You will get to build great relationships with your patients here and have the time to give great care. This store also has its own Pacmed machine in store.

Position Details:

  • Up to 40 hrs / week
  • PT/FT option

Hours of operation are 8am-6pm Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm Saturday, and 1pm-5pm Sunday.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:

The Pharmacy Manager/Store Operator is responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy and actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement. The Pharmacy Manager/Store Operator will play a key role in achieving departmental excellence in the areas of patient focused care, customer service and workflow efficiencies.

  • Focus on clinical services (i.e., medication reviews, disease state management)
  • Promotes the Neighbourly brand through publishing, presenting, and participation in industry associations to improve brand awareness.
  • Follow and promote the Neighbourly policy manual to inspire a working environment that attracts and retains talented, committed and engaged employees
  • Initiate care plans, follow up and document
  • Administer vaccines
  • Determine appropriateness of drug therapy
  • Monitor medication adherence
  • Collect and document relevant patient, drug, and disease information
  • Recommend OTC products and vitamins
  • Answer questions from patients that require therapeutic knowledge, clinical analysis, or assessment
  • Supervise a pharmacy student or a provisional pharmacist in the performance of restricted activities

Qualifications & Skills

  • Licensed and in good standing with College of Pharmacists of Manitoba
  • Minimum 1 year of prior experience as a Pharmacy Manager (preferred)
  • Possess entrepreneurial abilities and a will to grow the business
  • Ability to lead, coach, and encourage staff
  • Capability to collaborate with the front-store staff to find possibilities for patient care
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-directed and able to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong sense of professionalism
