Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Receive prescription drop-offs and refill requests.
  • Enter prescription information accurately into the pharmacy management system.
  • Prepare prescription labels and assist with prescription filling under the supervision of the pharmacist.
  • Process insurance claims and resolve routine third-party billing issues.
  • Answer telephone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate patient profiles and confidential records.
  • Manage inventory, receive orders, stock shelves, and monitor medication expiry dates.
  • Keep the pharmacy clean and organized.
  • Assist with medication packaging, compliance blister packs, and other pharmacy services.
  • Support pharmacists with administrative duties and daily workflow.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Software is considered an asset.
  • Another language considered an asset.
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Professional, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Pharmacy hours that support work-life balance:

  • Monday – Thursday: 9:30 AM -6:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:30PM-5:00 PM
  • Weekends: closed
