Pharmacist – Valleyview

Our mission at Pharmasave is to offer exceptional patient centered care in an inclusive and professional pharmacy. Our priority is the health and wellness of our patients and are committed to the full scope of the clinical practice of pharmacy.

Hours of operation are 9:00am-6:00pm Monday through Friday, and closed Saturday, and  Sunday.

Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy
  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately
  • Provide medication counseling and education to patients and their families
  • Provide clinical services where appropriate (med reviews, adaptations, injections, etc.)
  • Monitor patient medication therapies for effectiveness, side effects, and interactions
  • Work across our pharmacy locations (with travel expenses covered) and be part of a collaborative, patient-centred environment
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA)
  • Injection Certification for a full-time role
  • Experience with Kroll is an asset
