Pharmacist – Parksville

Pharmasave Parksville is seeking a full-time Pharmacist to join our team. We are an independently owned and operated community pharmacy committed to providing the highest level of patient care possible to our patients. We have been serving the Oceanside community for over 20 years, and currently have a team of 8 pharmacists, 1 registered pharmacy technician, and 10 pharmacy assistants, as well as a strong front store team. We are a clinically focused pharmacy, providing many services such as travel health and vaccinations, adaptations, minor-ailment prescribing, medication reviews, compliance packaging, opioid-agonist therapy, diabetes education, natural medicine, active living, weight loss, and more.

Our mission at Pharmasave is to offer exceptional patient centered care in an inclusive and professional pharmacy. Our priority is the health and wellness of our patients and are committed to the full scope of the clinical practice of pharmacy.

Hours of operation are 8:30am – 7:00pm Monday through Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm Saturday, and 10:00am-6:00pm Sunday.

Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Ability to deliver high standard of customer service and patient care
  • Ability to collaborate with our existing team
  • Strong computer skills (ideally proficient with Kroll)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding on proper billing and audit risk mitigation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and work as part of a team
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • A Canadian Pharmacist license and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC
  • Certification to provide medications by injection
  • Experience with Kroll is an asset
