Floater Pharmacist – North Vancouver (Multiple Stores)

We are looking for a Floater Pharmacist to join our team who will be assisting with the following North Vancouver locations:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist to join our team at Pharmasave, North Vancouver. As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional pharmaceutical care to our customers. You will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately and efficiently, counseling patients on proper medication use, and ensuring compliance with all relevant College/Pharmacare rules and regulations.

Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and provide appropriate dosage instructions to patients.
  • Conduct patient consultations to explain medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness, and resolve any discrepancies or potential issues.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of medications and supplies, and manage the pharmacy’s stock.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or inquiries from patients.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in pharmaceuticals, including new medications and treatments.
  • Ensure compliance with all College and Pharmacare pharmacy rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Oversee pharmacy assistants and support staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
  • Current and valid pharmacist license in BC.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medications, and drug interactions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software and computer systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Previous experience in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting is a plus.
