Pre-Travel Consultation

What to expect from a Travel Consultation with our pharmacist 

A travel consultation is a one-on-one appointment with our pharmacist to identify patient and location-specific risk factors and create a personalized travel plan. Our plan will include recommendations on basic travel precautions, over the counter medications, vaccinations and other prescription medications, that will help you navigate your travels safely. A digital copy of your travel plan will be provided following your consultation. Any necessary vaccinations can be provided on-site. *Prescription from a physician may be required. Pharmacist can communicate with your health care provider to make recommendations.

When should you book your Travel Consultation 

We encourage you to book your appointment one to three months before travel to ensure there is enough time to develop immunity for any necessary vaccinations. However, if you are traveling sooner than one month we still encourage you to book an appointment.  

How much does a Travel Consultation Cost? 

The Travel Consultation costs $50 for the first traveler, and $40 for each additional traveler with the same itinerary.  This includes the pre-travel assessment, a digital or written copy of the travel plan and any necessary correspondence with primary care providers. Enrollment in a travel consultation entitles travelers to a reduced rate of $10 per travel-related injection administered in store. Vaccines may have additional cost.
