Minor Ailments Consultation
Pharmacists in Ontario can assess & prescribe for 13 minor illnesses or conditions. Walk-Ins may be acceptable or book an appointment ahead of time.
Prescriptions are only written if appropriate and this is based on the pharmacist’s assessment and professional judgement. The treatment plan could vary from non-pharmacological measures, over-the-counter medications, prescription medications or a referral to another healthcare professional.
The assessments are free of charge with a valid Ontario health number. Prescription medication prescribed by the pharmacist may be covered by your regular drug plan. Professional fees may apply.
