Minor Ailment Prescribing and Contraception

What is a Minor Ailment?

Minor Ailments are uncomplicated, short-term conditions that do not require lab tests or blood works and can often be managed with minimal treatment. The sooner you treat you minor ailment, the better, and your Pharmasave Pharmacist can help you!

Some examples of minor ailments that pharmacists in BC can prescribe are:

  • Seasonal Allergies
  • Bladder infections
  • Vaginal yeast infections
  • Canker sores, mouth ulcers, cold sores
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Pink eye
  • Eczema
  • Acne
  • Minor skin infections
  • Indigestion and acid reflux

Pharmacists are also equipped to prescribe hormonal contraception to patients.

Do I need to Book an Appointment?

Appointments are encouraged, but not necessary. Our Pharmasave Pharmacists can provide drop-in services when manageable.
