SECOND DOSE OF THE COVID-19 VACCINATION

Pharmasave stores are now administering the second dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine to eligible individuals. If you’re interested in getting the vaccine, contact your health care provider or local public health unit for more information.

You will be screened for COVID -19 symptoms and risk factors using the Alberta Health COVID-19 screening criteria. If you have COVID-19 symptoms or have been told to self-isolate, do not come to the pharmacy.

You will be asked to wear a mask or face covering.
Bring your health card with you to the pharmacy.
Wear loose clothing with short sleeves. The vaccine will be given in your upper arm.
Arrive on time for your appointment and not early.
After your vaccine you will be asked to wait in the pharmacy for 15 minutes or as determined by the pharmacist.

The COVID-19 vaccine requires 2 doses. if you are receiving your first dose the pharmacy will provide you with further information about your second dose.

The COVID-19 vaccine cannot be given within 14 days of any other vaccine. You must wait at least 28 days after your COVID-19 vaccine before getting any other vaccine.
