We think it’s important to remember the history of the land that we live, work, and play on. In the spirit of reconciliation, we honor and acknowledge that where we work, live, and recreate on are the traditional lands, meeting grounds, and trading routes of the Dane-zaa, Anishanaabe, Secwepemc, and Nakota Sioux Nations. This territory is known as Treaty 8 as well as Treaty 6 home to the Metis Nation. As community members associated with the health and well being of all peoples, we understand that it is our job to learn and unlearn, and act knowledgeably, respectfully, and with empathy to all. In doing so we hope to be better stewards of this land and better ancestors to its people.
