After spending the day caring for patients at the pharmacy, Eric can usually be found reading bedtime stories to his three daughters and trying new ways to smooth out their bedtime routine (it’s a constant battle). When the weekend arrives, he packs up his family and takes them on hiking adventures outdoors. He loves exploring the beautiful province we live in and showing his daughters the amazing landscapes and nature that we are so lucky to have access to as Albertans. One of his favourite adventures was to see the ice bubbles trapped in Abraham Lake this past winter.

Eric believes that all patients deserve access to primary care and is a strong advocate of a team-based approach to care. He works well with all members of his patient’s healthcare team to create the best possible care pathways and help patients achieve their health goals. He approaches every patient with compassion and brings his expert clinical knowledge as a Prescribing Pharmacist.

Eric’s team-based approach to healthcare is inspired by the pharmacy. Lovingly referred to as “the dream team”, Pharmasave Bashaw’s pharmacists, technicians, assistants and support staff work tirelessly to make healthcare easy for each patient that walks through the pharmacy’s door.

Georgina (Georgie) Gaudet is co-owner of Pharmasave Bashaw and, when she’s not taking her three daughters on nature walks or playing Barbies she can usually be found in the kitchen. She is perpetually in search of dishes that will impress her three picky eaters! Recipe ideas are always welcome!

Although she can usually be found “behind the scenes” at the pharmacy, she is always finding ways to improve patient care and community outreach. Georgie grew up in Bashaw and feels a deep connection to the community and her friends, family and neighbours who live here.

Georgie and her husband, Eric, have called Bashaw their home for nearly 10 years. And, without divulging anyone’s ages, have been together for ½ their lives! They think it makes them perfectly suited business partners, parents to three amazing and independent little girls and the best Pictionary teammates.

When she isn’t navigating care pathways for her patients, making sure they receive the best possible care, she loves spending time with her husband, friends and family. She loves the quality family time that a good tabletop, board or card game brings!

Jennie also loves to travel and has already traveled to over 10 countries! Her favourite adventure to-date has been her travel through Cambodia, where the culture, food and history captured her heart.

Michelle has served her community as a trusted healthcare worker for over 33 years. And, we are proud to say, she has spent nearly ½ of that time serving patients in the community of Bashaw! Everyday, she demonstrates her passion for healthcare at the pharmacy, bringing her positivity and depth of knowledge and experience to our team. She always greets her patients with compassion and kindness and will move mountains to get them the care they need.

Her grandchildren, garden, pets and crafting fill Michelle up and she is especially gifted at creating favourite animals made of yarn with her crocheting and knitting prowess. Many special children have experienced the joy of opening a present created by Michelle’s two hands and amazing imagination.

Shauna has mastered the art of organizing our busy team, while her quick wit and sense of humor keeps everyone giggling. We think she might be the most long-term member of the pharmacy team in Bashaw. That is, if you count her very first tenure as a work experience student with former owner and pharmacist, Mr. George Darichuk. When Eric and Georgie bought the store in 2018, they actually found her initial resignation letter from that student position! They keep a copy, just in case Shauna ever wants to leave… they think that you can’t resign from the same place twice, so she’s a part of the team forever. Shauna’s patients and the pharmacy team deeply value her positivity and sheer passion for patient care.

Her three grandsons are the apple of her eye and when she’s not at the pharmacy, she is soaking in all the cuddles and adventures she can get her hands on. She tells her grandsons, “We stick together like worms and dirt” and she loves making memories with her family. In her spare time, she likes reading and has started to learn how to play the guitar. Never afraid of a challenge, Shauna tackles everything and anything that comes her way.

As the past owner of Bashaw Drugs (the precursor to Pharmasave Bashaw), Ted offers our team a wealth of experience and knowledge as both a pharmacist and former pharmacy owner. Nearly everyday, Georgie and Eric tap into his insight and wise perspectives about the various hurtles they encounter. The challenges of the pandemic were made manageable with Ted’s support, as he so willingly put off retirement to make sure our patients had constant access to care.

Ted continues to see patients at the pharmacy as a Prescribing Pharmacist, but when he is not there, you can usually find him playing with his grandchildren. The summer months are filled with gardening or relaxing on the boat fishing with his wife, Diane.

Vikki brings her wealth of knowledge and experience everyday to the pharmacy. As a pharmacist, she cares deeply about her patients and will always take the time to check in and say ‘hello’, while also offering friendly advice to help them meet their health goals.

She also knows the healing power of nature and enjoys taking the time to breathe in, listen to, and feel the heartbeat of nature. Her favourite times are spent hiking with her husband and dogs, spending time with her horses and tending to her garden and flowers. She is a member of “The Hearts of Harmony” acapella choir and for the past 13 years, she lends her voice to create beautiful, soulful music.

Vikki is a voracious advocate for her patients and leads with a passion for excellence. This passion carries through to all aspects of her life, even cribbage! Not even her kids are a match when they take on this master crib player.
