About The Pharmacy

Kalvin Brown Pharmasave opens it’s doors bright and early each week day at 7:30am and closes at 4:30pm; and we’re open 365 days a year. That’s right, Christmas, New Year’s Day, Easter – we’re open on all of them!

Our pharmacy specializes in pain management and opiate dependence treatment and our professional staff are always ready and willing to counsel patients with our one-to-one counselling services.

We are active in our community as members of the Downtown Business Association, the local Chamber of Commerce and the Ontario Pharmacists Association.

About Kalvin Brown

Within my current primary scope of practice, but not limited to, I work as part of multidisciplinary team using common clinical records to establish therapeutic end points in creating care plans.

My role in this team is as neuropharmacologist to consolidate the intricate therapeutic regimens in clients with complex co-morbidities. Our approach is a holistic one including lifestyle, stages of change, cognitive behavior therapies and alternate therapies in order to achieve optimal outcomes in patient care.

In the new paradigm of expanded scope of practice I enhance the effectiveness of our team approach by more effectively utilizing pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, drug utilization review, and pharmacology to initiate medication changes to optimize outcomes.

Our clinic is actively involved in ongoing community clinical research using outcome measures and dashboards of clinical outcomes in measuring integrated care of concurrent disorders. I work with Dr. Ralph Dell ‘Aquila in presenting to various groups to enhance the understanding of Medication Assisted Recovery in the disease of addiction. We present to professionals (Physician’s, NOSM Students), various professional organizations (CCAC, Police, NSTC, NFN,) and the general public.
