What you need to know about getting a Covid shot

Health Canada states that over time, protection from COVID-19 vaccines can decrease. Booster doses trigger your immune system to make more antibodies, which can increase the immune response and help improve protection against COVID-19. Staying up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations, including boosters, will help protect you from severe COVID-19 disease. This is especially important with the Omicron variant widespread in Canada and the possibility of new variants.

You will be required to book an appointment:

• You will receive a personalized booking invitation when it’s time to book your dose.
• Appointments are available in community pharmacies and health authority clinics at a time to fit your schedule. The appointment only takes 15 to 30 minutes.
• Appointments must be booked through the BC Provincial COVID-19 Get Vaccinated system. Please access this system to view appointment availability at your local Pharmasave.
