About Us

Forest Pharmasave is a familiar store in our small town of Forest. It has been in the community for much longer than anybody can truly remember. There are photos of the store, originally called Turnbull Pharmacy, that date back to the 1950’s, and there is a possibility that the store existed as a pharmacy the year Canada became a country in 1867! No matter how old the store is, you can be sure that you will always get the best service from our pharmacy and staff.

Al and Sandy took over ownership of Forest Pharmacy in 2007 and changed the store over to the Pharmasave brand. They chose Pharmasave because of the support and encouragement they give their store owners to manage their location the way they know is best for the community. In addition, the quality products Pharmasave provides is paramount, along with the regional staff that gets along so well with the employees at the store.

Since Al and Sandy moved into town they have appreciated how welcoming the community has been, and have enjoyed getting to know the many customers that walk through the front doors every day. “I feel like I am part of a family”, says Al, “people even make me food – I have a cake in the back room!”

Beyond work, Forest Pharmasave supports several local organizations and events such as Forest Relay for Life, Kettle and Stony Point Pow Wow, Forest Garden Club and the World Partnership Walk, all with the idea of supporting the people in our community, but also communities living in other parts of the country, and the world.
