Pharmacist

read bio

Heidi graduated in 1990 from University of Toronto with a Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy. She is currently a registered pharmacist in Ontario.

After working a short while in Penetanguishene after graduation, Heidi returned to the local area to continue working in community pharmacy. She worked in a number of pharmacies within the area including managing a Big V pharmacy for a short while before the purchase of the pharmacy chain by Shoppers Drug Mart.

Heidi has been thankful to work in the local community where her 3 daughters, who are now teenagers, have gone to school and where her husband works in his third-generation family business. Being involved with her churches’ activities and volunteering at the dance studio which her girls attend are two of the activities that are important to her. Heidi recently had the opportunity to go on a medical mission to Tanzania and on a mission trip to Swaziland. Likely those won’t be the last!

Her focus in pharmacy is to encourage patients’ understanding of their medications with the goals of minimizing negative consequences of medication and maximizing benefits.
