Wade Mannle

Pharmacy Store Operator

Wade graduated in 1996 from the University of Saskatchewan. He has practiced Pharmacy in both community and hospital environments. Wade relocated to Alberta in 2011 after spending 3 years with the hospital pharmacy in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. He is certified to administer medications by injection and is a certified FLT Healthcare Practitioner. He enjoys working with the friendly and fun staff  at Carstairs Pharmasave.

Margie Steingart

Pharmacist

Margie graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1999 with a degree in pharmacy. She then went on to complete a clinical practice residency in 2002. This lead to a career in hospital practice encompassing pediatric medicine, psychiatry, adult cardiology and adult ICU. Upon moving to Carstairs with a young family in 2008, she joined the pharmacy team at the Carstairs Pharmasave and has taken a huge interest in lifestyle management integrated medicine. Becoming a certified healthcare practitioner with First Line Therapy and an Ideal Protein coach has given her the opportunity to provide clients with excellent tools to change their own health outside of medication management alone. She has also received her advance prescribing authority and is therefore a ‘prescribing pharmacist’.

Melissa Williscroft

Melissa graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with her Pharmacy degree in the spring of 2014. She grew up in Innisfail, AB on her family farm and moved back to Central Alberta after she received her degree. She will be working in both Carstairs and Didsbury Pharmasave.

Andrew Uttaro

Pharmacist

Andrew graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland’s School of Pharmacy in 1993. He began his career in community pharmacy until moving into a hospital pharmacy job. After 7+ years at the hospital he moved to Northern Alberta to co-own and manage a drug store. Since then he has practised in Moose Jaw, SK for 3 years and has recently relocated to Alberta. He is enjoying getting to know and working with both staffs of the Didsbury and Carstairs locations.

Karen Koziarski

Front Store Manager

Karen’s family moved to the Mountain View County area in the fall of 2016. After living in Calgary for 30+ years, she decided on country living.
After commuting for 4 years to Calgary for work, Karen was delighted when the opportunity to join the Pharmasave team came up, and started at Pharmasave in the fall of 2020.
Karen has over 30 years of Retail and Management experience to bring to the team at Carstairs Family Pharmasave. She looks forward to getting to know our many loyal customers and neighbours in our community.

Sarah Kay

Pharmacy Technician

Sarah graduated in 1996 from Bromley College, England with a diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences.  She moved to Carstairs in 2006 with her husband and started at Carstairs Family Pharmasave in 2007 as a cashier.  Since then Sarah has furthered her education to become a Compounding Technician.

Tammy Zuurbier

Pharmacy Assistant

Tammy has worked at Carstairs Family Pharmasave since August 2006, but moved into the area in 2002. She loves the friendly customers that come into the pharmacy. Tammy is happily married with two children and in her spare time you can find her out in nature gardening or camping.

Audrey Campbell

Regulated Pharmacy Technician

Audrey has been working in pharmacy for the past 15 years. She became a Regulated Pharmacy Technician in the winter of 2014. She enjoys working in the small town atmosphere of community pharmacy. In her spare time, you can find her enjoying both playing and watching various sports and cheering on her nephews and nieces in anything they are involved in.

Our newest Pharmacy Technician, Sean Eclavea graduated from Red Deer Polytechnic in 2021, has a wealth of knowledge, and fits right in. In his spare time, Sean enjoys playing music and writing poetry. Sean has been an amazing fit in our pharmacy!

Cynthia Plett

Cynthia was born and raised in a small town near Winnipeg, MB and moved to Carstairs in 2011. Cynthia joined the Pharmasave team to help with all the many creative and innovative projects that we at Pharmasave pride ourselves in. Cynthia spends most of her free time running around with her three daughters and their many activities as well as staying active and enjoying the great outdoors.

Kim Henderson

Customer Service and Ideal Protein Coach

Kim has recently joined the Carstairs Pharmasave team and enjoys working part-time in her own community, getting to know all the fine folks in Carstairs and area and providing great customer service. A native of Calgary, Kim is married to Rob and they have 2 sons and one daughter-in-law. She loves to do paper crafts in her spare time and is passionate about health & nutrition and loves to cook. In 2020, Kim became a certified Ideal Protein Coach and is loving her new role! She is changing lives one healthy step at a time.

Brenda Traverse

Brenda, her husband Tom and their son Ronyn moved to Carstairs in 2014. She has been in retail and customer service for over 25 years! Brenda has taken on many new roles in her time at Pharmasave, including becoming the assistant front store manager in 2021, and helps manage ordering and operations within the store. Brenda enjoys living and working in Carstairs!

Diane is one of our amazing front-store staff members whom many of you already know well. She and her husband, Louie, have been living in this community for more than 24 years. Diane comes into work each day with a smile on her face and she creates a positive atmosphere wherever she goes. We are so grateful to have found such an amazing team member and we know you all love her, too!

Rhonda and her husband, Don, have lived in Carstairs for over 8 years with their 3 children. She is well known in the community and has jumped into her role here at Carstairs Pharmasave with such ease. Her infectious smile and her kind heart make her perfect for this job. Pharmacies can see many sick or hurting people, so having staff members like Rhonda welcome you with a smile can sure go a long way.
