Technical Writer Pharmacy Programs and Marketing

Can you make a complex health program sound simple and positive? Can you adapt your writing to suit several different audiences using the same content? The successful candidate will join our close-knit team and become a key contributor to our Pharmacy Innovation department. If you enjoy a challenge in a fast-paced environment, have superior organization/communications skills, and are a detail-oriented team player, then we are looking for you.


• Support the National Director Pharmacy Innovation and the National Pharmacy Program Manager on key projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with Marketing on key pharmacy marketing strategies and initiatives including material and support documents for media campaigns
• Support the copy development and revision of program materials including: memos, newsletters, presentations, manuals and guides, quick tip summaries, social media copy, website copy, marketing copy for printed and digital promotional materials, on-hold message scripts, brochures, calendar messages and more
• Edit or create instructional documents and flowcharts with support of clinical experts and designers
• Edit articles, templates, guides and other resources developed for use by pharmacy staff
• Maintain records and files of work and revision
• Ensures materials developed by the pharmacy team meet Pharmasave communication standards
• Attend and contribute at all departmental team meetings

Skills, Experience & Education

• Superior written and oral communication skills including writing, editing, and proofreading
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Minimum 2 years related experience in a high-paced office environment with 2 years post secondary education in business, communications or a technical writing diploma or certificate
• Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, the ability to use Camtasia for how to videos would be an asset but not required
• Enthusiastic, personable, well-organized, personal and professional integrity
• Experience working in the pharmacy or healthcare industry is an asset, but not required
