Are you a Registered Pharmacy Technician looking for full time and / or part-time work? Interested in working with a small team in a community pharmacy? Locally owned and operate in British Columbia, we have a strong clinical practice and excellent patient relationships.

Pharmasave Grand Forks is hiring a full-time or part-time Licensed Pharmacy Technician.

We offer a recently renovated pharmacy with a consultation room, an exciting and busy work environment, very competitive wages and benefits, as well as payment of professional dues and continuing education. We have implemented workflow which allows you to always know where the prescription is in the workflow process. We are also involved in many patient care initiatives including weight loss and metabolic management (UBC Study participant) using the Ideal Protein protocol, medication reviews, Influenza and Covid vaccinations as well as travel health and associated vaccinations.

Hours of operation are 8am-6pm Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm Saturday, and 10am-2pm Sunday.

Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Passion for community connection and health promotion
  • Ensure systems are implemented and running efficiently
  • Support pharmacists for provision of excellent clinical services and pharmaceutical care
  • Process clinically reviewed and approved medication orders for distribution to patients, clients, or residents
  • Receive verbal and non-verbal orders from prescribers and ensure orders are authentic and complete
  • Transfer prescriptions to and from other pharmacies
  • Prepare and process prescriptions (i.e. Enter orders, count, measure, package or re-package medications and compound various sterile pharmaceutical products according to established procedures; Pre-package oral, liquid and topical medications into unit-of-use format)
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of dispensed prescriptions and personal health information in the PharmaNet patient record
  • Perform the final check of processed and/or prepared prescriptions
  • Maintain inventory stock levels and perform clerical duties as assigned
  • Complete daily and weekly medication wholesale orders
  • Present a professional and charismatic presence
  • Act as a senior point of contact for the pharmacy/health center management, including handling and resolving complex issues
  • Complete patient or client care in a confidential and professional manner
  • Assist in ensuring retail pricing is done appropriately and invoices are received accurately
  • Manage day-to-day aspects of pharmacy/health care center (i.e. maintenance, cleanliness, customer service, daily correspondence, and inventory)
  • Ensure accurate data entry of client information
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician accreditation
  • Licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC
  • Injection certified
