Pharmacy Supply Analyst

Founded in 1981 and now with more than 800 stores across Canada, Pharmasave has focused on building a national platform of community-based retail outlets designed to provide exceptional patient-centred healthcare, medication advice, drug store products and customer service.

We are looking for a Pharmacy Supply Analyst who will work under the direction of the National Director, Pharmacy Innovation, to provide co-ordination, maintenance, and support for Pharmasave’s Pharmaceutical Partnership Program.

• Staying on top of provincial pricing changes
• Working closely with the Business Technology department, national accounting staff and the Pharmacy Innovation team to update, support, and maintain the formulary database, store distribution reports and other reports as required
• Preparation of pharmaceutical data pre-negotiation process
• Preparation of data comparison during the negotiation process for the Pharmaceutical Partnerships Negotiating Committee
• Preparation of quarterly and annual reports on program performance and key indicators
• Ongoing support and maintenance of the Formulary Program
• Supports the dispensary Business Technology systems including the Kroll Central Reporting System and formulary database
• Develops business processes and checks for reconciliation of vendor and store data
• Works closely with the Pharmacy Team and Business Technology in the testing and development of business processes, pricing and data management
• Provides support to pharmacy system users at regional and store levels as it pertains to the formulary, molecule assessment and compliance reporting
• Communicates and works with wholesalers
• Supports stores through the regions

Skills and Competencies
• Enthusiastic, proactive, self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills, well-organized with attention to detail and with demonstrated proficiency in handling multiple tasks/projects often within tight time frames
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience with pharmacy systems and the Kroll Pharmacy System
• Experience working with Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel, Access and Pivot Tables at an intermediate level is required
• Testing and training experience is an asset
• Experience working in a team environment
• An understanding of pharmaceutical pricing, provincial differences and competitive pricing in the retail pharmacy environment an asset
• Previous experience as a senior pharmacy technician in a retail pharmacy setting is an asset
• 2 years experience in retail pharmacy is an asset
