Pharmacy Services and Programs Coordinator

The Pharmacy Services and Programs Coordinator is a full-time contract position, working under the direction of the National Pharmacy Program Manager and National Director, Pharmacy Innovation of Pharmasave Drugs (National) Ltd. The Coordinator is responsible for creating, sourcing and maintaining tools and educational resources to support pharmacy services and programs. The Coordinator is also responsible for supporting pharmacy writing initiatives, communicating department and program information to Pharmasave’s regions and stores and providing administrative and project management support. The Coordinator must maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other organizational units and attend regular departmental team meetings. The Coordinator will liaise with region representatives and stores as needed.

• Develops and coordinates the implementation of programs, including the editing, page layout, production and distribution
• Develops tools for implementation of professional services within a community pharmacy
• Liases with vendors to utilize vendor programs, tools and resources
• Communicates ideas, plans and strategies with internal and region pharmacy teams as well as communicating with store owners, store staff and vendors
• Supports efficiency in delivering services and providing solutions for barriers
• Creates simplified step-by-step how-to documents, flowcharts, copy development and revision of program materials including memos, presentations, manuals, guides, etc.
• Develop tips and templates that can be utilized by pharmacy staff , writes as well as collects, compiles, edits and formats content for monthly e-newsletter
• Provides administrative and project management support to the National Pharmacy Innovation Team
• Runs and reviews the monthly and quarterly service reports for various projects and programs
• Establishes training and education plans to support core pharmacy programs
• Maintains and manages resources on Pharmasave’s internal portal
• Collaborates with marketing teams to support the promotion of pharmacy services and programs
• Attends and contributes to all departmental team meetings
• Reports on the success of pharmacy programs and materials using print inventory management, web analytics, spreadsheets and databases
• Supports opportunities within the current scope of practice across Canada
• Remains up to date on the latest health trends and tools related to pharmacy practice

• University degree in pharmacy
• Registered as a pharmacist in good standing with at least one Canadian Provincial Regulatory Body
• Minimum of one-year’s experience in a Canadian community pharmacy would be an asset
• Understands the business of pharmacy and the economic viability of services
• Superior written and oral communication skills including editing, proofreading and ability to write content for various purposes and audiences
• Ability to work well with others, collaborative approach and strong team player
• Experience in retail pharmacy with a particular interest in scope of practice and pharmacy services
• Ability to react quickly to change, problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable using and learning various software programs including MS office, website portal and internal reporting systems
• Enthusiastic, personable, well-organized, personal and professional integrity
• Collaborative approach and strong team player
