Pharmacist – Part time

Bowman’s Pharmasave is hiring! We’re looking for a qualified New Brunswick pharmacist to work 15-18 hours per week. No holidays, Sundays or late nights required!

The Part-Time Pharmacist is responsible for providing pharmacy services to customers and medical practitioners. The Pharmacist will also provide guidance and supervision to Pharmacy students and Pharmacy Assistants and will ensure that all patients are offered and receive professional clinical service in a welcoming environment.

Professional Responsibilities:
Patient Focused Care

  • Focus is on clinical services – minor ailment prescribing, injection services, practicing to full scope of practice
  • Prescription safety prioritizing technical functions to Pharmacy Assistant when available
  • Initiate care plans, follow up, and document
  • Collect relevant patient, drug and disease information
  • Identification of actual and potential drug related problems
  • Monitor medication adherence
  • Provide patient counselling for new therapy and determine patients understanding as to why they are taking the medication
  • Tailor counselling to the needs and concerns of the patient

Customer Service

  • Greet customers and patients promptly and professionally
  • Demonstrate warmth, empathy, and compassion towards the patient and customer
  • Provide superior customer service to every person that enters Bowman Pharmasave

Technical Skills

  • Above average communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-directed and able to work independently

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
  • Must be a Licensed Pharmacist in New Brunswick
  • Injection Certification
