Pharmacist (Full-Time and Part-Time)

Midtown Pharmasave is hiring.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated pharmacist to participate in daily dispensary operations, working in a team environment and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. This Full-Time position is for a Clinical Pharmacist to work in both a Community Pharmacy Primary Care Clinic and a Community Pharmacy (New Waterford). The successful candidate will be expected to rotate between the clinic and the pharmacy during the week. The ideal candidate would have a passion and interest to develop and implement patient focused programs. Both Full-time and Part-Time applications are welcome.

Key Responsibilities:

• Must be dedicated and focused on patient needs in order to deliver quality service
• Accurately and timely dispense all prescriptions
• Provide professional advice to patients on prescription and OTC products
• Fully utilize scope of practice including prescription adaptation, renewing or extending a prescription, therapeutic substitution, minor ailment prescribing, medication reviews, etc.
• Administer injections/immunizations as requested in order to maximize patient care
• Provide complete and accurate documentation as required by the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists and insurance providers (private & public)
• Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures, professional standards and applicable laws and regulations
• Create awareness and educate patients through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.)

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• License to practice in the province of Nova Scotia
• Immunization and injection permit
• Experience providing expanded scope of pharmacy services
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work productively as a member of a dynamic and fast-paced team

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekend availability

Experience:

• pharmacist: 1 year (preferred)
