Front Store Clerk (Full-Time)

Brookline Pharmasave in the Parks of West Bedford is a locally owned and operated community pharmacy. We are currently recruiting for a full-time Front Store Clerk. This is a fabulous opportunity for someone who wants to learn lots, work in a fantastic team environment and who is flexible with shifts.

You must have a great attitude and professional behavior and want to positively contribute to our team.

Responsibilities of our Front Store Clerk include, but are not limited to:
• Greet guests and answer questions regarding goods or services sold
• Maintain a well-organized and orderly storefront
• Introduce customers to current discounts and offers within the store
• Strive to achieve sales goals and actively seek to upsell when possible
• Properly process returns and air miles while following policy and procedures
• Ensure the stockroom is organized and orderly
• Assist Front Store Supervisor in organizing the front store & ordering products
• Receive orders, merchandise, Stock shelve, manage store displays, keep track of inventory (May involve bending, kneeling, lifting weights up to 30 lb.)
• Keep the store neat & clean. Cleaning includes taking out trash, cardboards, dusting, mopping floors, and other cleaning duties as necessary
• Operate the cash register, process customer payments, handle cash, debit, and credit transactions, and balancing the cash drawer at the end of shift
• Efficiently operate computer, Microsoft applications, POS software & lotto tickets machines

Qualifications of our Front Store Clerk include, but are not limited to:
• Ability to spend an extended period working in a standing position
• Prior customer service experience preferred
• Punctuality and accountability when arriving at work and closing out cash registers
• Attention to detail is essential for merchandising and managing inventories
• Friendly and approachable demeanor
• Ability to work in a team and contribute to a positive experience for all customers
• A detailed understanding of products or services solid and the ability to correctly answer customer questions as needed
• Ability to multitask and balance the needs of several customers at once is essential
• Basic math skills are needed to accurately close out transactions and provide change to customers
• Ability to solve problems by working independently without an immediate supervisor for extended periods of time and deal with tricky customer situations or possible security issues
