When asked how his experience was with Ideal Protein, this was his response:

It was an interesting process that I went through which had a difficult first few days and then it became easier. The thing that I really liked was the pace of losing weight in the process which keeps you motivated. Working with the coach was amazing! Angelica was tracking the progress and explaining the steps and do’s and don’ts during the process which helped me a) understand what’s going on in my body and in the process b) keep me motivated c) track my weight and diet to report to her and make sure I’m not going in the wrong direction. My advice to someone contemplating on starting the Ideal Protein protocol is to stick to the plan. If you’re not supposed to eat restricted carbs that means you must not eat it! Don’t fool yourself by saying eating a little bit of it is fine, no it’s not!

 

Delia Cassatini

We asked our client, Delia Cassatini, to share her experience with Ideal Protein at our clinic at Pharmasave Rosser.  She is diabetic (Type 2 Diabetes) and has lost 10 pounds. Recently she has just had her A1C checked and it has gone down to 5.4 — a normal level of blood sugar. We asked a few questions and these were her responses:

Overall, how did you feel while you were on the Ideal Protein Protocol?

I felt more energetic, less stiff in the mornings, and more focused mentally. I also felt satisfied with all the food choices I was given.

 What changes have you noticed since being on the Protocol?

I felt more in control of my life. After following the protocol, I especially feel better in the mornings as my sleep has improved because of eating so healthy.

 How would you describe your experience working with our coaches?

My Ideal Protein coach has guided me very well to ensure my success in the program. She always gives me the info I need and follows up with any of my questions. I couldn’t have done it without her!

 What advice would you give to someone contemplating starting the Ideal Protein Protocol?

I would say to persevere with the toughest Phase (Phase 1) as it gets progressively easier as you progress to the following phases.

 Do you have any other thoughts or comments you’d like to share?

I have Diabetes Type II and following Ideal Protein’s program has improved my A1C sugar levels greatly. It has been a welcome lifestyle change.

Before trying the Ideal Protein protocol, I had tried many different trending diets including DIY Keto, which consisted of trying to change my diet to high fat, low carb, low sugar with no guidance. It took hours to find recipes that either fit my restrictions or could be altered to fit them, AND that sounded appetizing to me, all before having to go buy the ingredients and cook the meal before I could eat. With Ideal Protein, particularly because of the clear and logical layout of each meal’s macro requirements, the delicious craving-satisfying yet suitable IP foods, and some very handy cookbooks, it has been much easier to incorporate IP into my daily life, stay on track, and resist those high-carb high-sugar temptations.

“My main reason for weight loss and health improvement was to make a life choice that would improve my health and set me on a path for a longer retirement life. I have seen many coworkers retire and die within the first 5 years, so I wanted to reduce the possibility of that happening to me.

I found a lot of the ideal protein foods to be quite tasty, which made it easy to distract myself from being hungry. The main challenge that I found was keeping myself hydrated, and tracking how much I was drinking. My favorite part was how easy it was to lose the weight, I didn’t exercise or go for long walks, the weight just basically fell off. If I could, I would show those that are unsure about starting my before and after pictures as well as my current blood test readings. I would tell them that I was able to lose 42 pounds in a very short time. I would say to those whom are struggling- don’t give up because this diet really does work. It was time to make a change; I was entering grade 12 and wanted to be a better version of myself by graduation. I was always tired and sleepy and felt bogged down by all the sugars I was eating.
