Receiving Clerk (Full-time)

Required Education:

  • High school or equivalent

Required Experience:

  • Retail drug store: 1 year
  • Receiving: 1 year

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintains efficient flow of merchandise from the receiving door to the sales floor
  • Receive merchandise from various suppliers and ensures proper documentation of the receiving and return of goods
  • Coordinates the receiving, shipping, price ticketing and paperwork for all incoming and outgoing shipments following store policies and procedures
  • Keeping the backroom clean, tidy, safe, and organized, including receiving table, incoming and outgoing orders, overstocks, seasonal goods, shelving and supplies
  • Follow store pricing policy and use proper retail math calculations
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, conscientious, methodical, logical, precise, patient, organized, assertive, does not assume things, remain calm under duress
  • Possess a positive, cooperative, and team-oriented attitude
  • Train to work in other parts of the store including Post Office and Cashiering

Qualifications Include:

  • A high school education and computer literacy skills
  • Strong organizational and record keeping skills
  • Ability to lift repetitively items up to 40 lbs
  • An attention to detail with the ability to accurately pick and sort inventory in a timely manner
  • Retail experience including purchasing and receiving, cashiering, product and supplier knowledge a definite asset
