This full-service pharmacy has been open since early February and waited for the weather to improve before holding this event. “Opening a new pharmacy in the middle of winter is challenging. We have been overwhelmed by the warm reception we have received over the last few months,” said Paul Bowman, pharmacist and co-owner of Bowman’s Pharmasave. “The community has made a Scotsman feel very welcome.”
To honour Paul’s Scottish roots, a bagpiper in Highland Dress attended the grand opening and played a traditional tune. Paul was joined at the grand opening by the Mayor of Fredericton, Mike O’Brien, and the MLA for Fredericton South, David Coon.
“I had the pleasure of meeting the Mayor a few months ago when he accepted my invitation to visit the store, said Bowman. “We had an excellent discussion about how this pharmacy can help support the local economy.”
“I am very honoured that our local MLA and leader of the Green Party has come to today’s grand opening,” added Bowman. “Bowman’s Pharmasave prides itself in carrying a range of environmentally responsible and locally crafted products.”
Each Pharmasave store operates independently to serve its individual community, ensuring that its programs and services meet the needs of its customers.
“We try to support our community and our province by stocking products made in New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada. We also have a wide range of natural skin care products,” said Bowman. “And, of course, we have a full service dispensary for your prescription needs, as well as providing a wide range of pharmacy services.”
